  • Apricot Kernel Oil (Prunus Armeniaca)

    Easily absorbed in to the skin, this soothing oil is suitable for all skin types, even if your skin is very sensitive or dry. It helps promote the skins elasticity, making it particularly moisturising and helping reduce the signs of premature ageing

  • Avocado Oil (Persea Gratissima)

    An ultra-rich oil packed with vitamins A, B1,B2, D and E. Throughout history this oil has been renowned for its skin enhancing properties, and for soothing, softening and protecting the skin from the elements. Great for dry tired skin or skin that has lost its lustre. Despite being one of the “heavier” oils it is easily absorbed and has a wonderful plumping effect on the complexion.

  • Beeswax (Cera Alba)

    Beeswax has brilliant emollient, soothing and softening properties and helps the skin retain moisture, which is why we add it to our fabulous Juniper and Jojoba Handcream

  • Calendula Oil (Calendula Officinalis)

    A wonderful calming, soothing oil which promotes skin suppleness. High in Vitamins A,B1,B2 and B6 it nurtures your skin while helping to combat against excess oil. Naturally rich in salicylic acid it assists in naturally taking care of the skin. The name comes from the fact that the flower blooms on the first day of the month – the “calends”.

  • Camellia Oil (Camellia Sinensis)

    Rich in Vitamin A, B and E, high in oleic acid and including calcium, iron and manganese this lovely light oil is easily absorbed and works to naturally renew your complexion. Its high nutrient and non-pore blocking composition may help to promote the elasticity and suppleness of your skin.

  • Chamomile Essential Oil (Anthemis Noblis)

    The Latin name makes us think of fabulous music which gets the crowd singing– and this oil is a real crowd pleaser too – your skin will love it! Soothing and calming, it helps fight against redness, dryness or sensitivity and is valuable for all skin types. If your skin is “normal” it helps keep it that way!

  • Exfoliant Cupuacu (Theobroma Grandiflorium)

    From the seeds of the Cupuacu Tree originally grown in South America, these fine bio-scrub particles provide a stimulating yet gentle scrub action with low skin abrasion, making this fabulous face scrub a treat you can give your skin every day if you choose to.

  • Frankincense Essential Oil (Boswellia Carteri)

    An aromatic, rich, warm oil with anti-inflammatory properties ideal for dry and mature complexions. It helps reduce those signs of ageing we are all aware of. Due to its wonderful toning effect it can help to temporarily restore tone to slack looking skin. No wonder the Wise Men brought it as a gift – Mary was probably delighted!

  • Grapefruit Essential Oil (Citrus Paradisi)

    With a wonderful citrus aroma this soothing nurturing oil helps tone the skin and tissues while the aroma refreshes the mind.

  • Hemp Seed Oil (Cannabis Sativa)

    This brilliant oil works on the epidermis, softening it and helping it to retain moisture. The high GLA (Gamma Lineolic Acid – also found in Evening Primrose Oil and Borage Oil) content makes it ideal in helping to rebalance oily skin. Hemp Seed Oil is also an excellent oil for nail care, encouraging strength and growth.

  • Hydrolysed Vegetable Protein

    A vegetable protein which protects from the elements and moisturises the skin, giving it a smooth silky feel, it is especially beneficial to sensitive skin.

  • Jojoba Oil (Buxus Chinensis)

    This fabulous oil is almost identical to human sebum, the skin’s own natural oil. Super nourishing, it is packed full of vitamins A,B1,B2 and B6 and is rich in vitamin E. It has antiseptic properties which may help fight infection and clear pores and it forms a natural lipid barrier to help your skin retain moisture. If that wasn’t enough goodness for your skin, it also contains a plant wax which mimics skin collagen, so using it gives you a real collagen boost. Plus it has a natural SPF 5 factor without any nasty chemicals. Originates from Central and South America where it has been used for centuries to moisturise the skin.

  • Juniper Oil (Juniperus Communis)

    This lovely oil with its sweet, fresh, woody aroma nurtures and soothes the skin.

  • Lavender Essential Oil (Lavendula Angustifolia)

    Originally used by the Romans to add to their bath water, the name is derived from “lavare” which means to wash or clean! We at Mary Elizabeth have a true love for this oil. It was one of the ingredients (along with Frankincense by the way) in the blend Cecilia made to help moisturise her skin after her skin cancer treatment. Widely regarded as the most versatile essential oil, Lavender is soothing, antiseptic, and anti-inflammatory. It is also used in aromatherapy to aid stress related conditions and to help relaxation. What isn’t to love?

  • Mandarin Essential Oil (Citrus Noblis)

    A sweet smelling oil which is beneficial for all skin types, even congested, oily or sensitive skin.

  • Meadowfoam Oil (Limnanthes Alba)

    A true wonder of nature, this oil is a complex oil with simple properties – super moisturising, anti-oxidant and restoring. It contains over 98% long-chain fatty acids, and a higher quality triglyceride than many other vegetable oils. Three of the beneficial long chain fatty acids components of this oil were actually unknown before Meadowfoam was properly analysed in 1994. Its super moisturising qualities makes any product really luxurious.

  • Neroli Essential Oil ( Aurantium Amara)

    This oil has a delicate yet rich warm-sweet aroma. Toning and stimulating to the skin, it is beneficial for all skin types, even those that are dry or sensitive. In aromatherapy Neroli is often used to reduce anxiety and calm the emotions, so it’s soothing on the mind as well as the body! The name is taken from an Italian princess who used the oil as her favourite perfume. You deserve to be treated like a princess too!

  • Olive Wax (Olea Europaea)

    An excellent vegan substitute for beeswax, Olive Wax is a great emollient so is highly effective in moisturising the skin.

  • Peppermint Essential Oil (Mentha Piperita)

    This stimulating oil has a mild antiseptic effect which can help control and remove bacteria on the skin’s surface.

  • Rose Geranium Oil (Perlargonium Graveolens)

    This oil smells lovely, yet is both astringent and antiseptic. It helps balance the skins oil production and pampers the skin

  • Rose Otto Damask Essential Oil( Rosa Damascena)

    A beautiful deep rosy-floral oil. Excellent for complexions with broken capillaries or wrinkles, it is “must have” oil for ageing or sensitive skin.

  • Shea Butter (Butyrospermum Parkii)

    This fabulous organic butter, made from the stones of the organic fruit of the Shea Butter Tree, has properties which are believed to be active in stimulating the formation and growth of new cells. Excellent for moisturising and protecting your precious skin from the effects of the elements.

  • Sorbitol

    Occurring naturally in many fruits and berries this is a gentle cleanser and exfoliator which has a velvety feel on the skin

  • Spearmint Essential Oil (Mentha Spicata)

    Used by the ancient Greeks as a restorative, this warm spicy oil is beneficial for all skin types.

  • Tea Tree Essential Oil (Melaleuca Alternifolia)

    This amazing antiseptic and antibacterial oil is widely renowned for the way it can help with so many skin issues.

  • Thistle Oil (Carmathus Tinctorious)

    An excellent source of the skin enriching essential fatty acids, Omega 3 and Omega 6. Thistle Oil is great for all skin types and is particularly beneficial for large open pores.

  • Vitamin E Oil (Tocopherol)

    This is a classic anti-oxidant and moisturiser which is used widely in skincare for the many benefits it provides.
